Got a new air fryer and had to try it out. Figured before I tried something more substantial, I couldn't possibly ruin a hot dog. I was right. The hotdogs tasted just like we had grilled them outside and the toasted buns were wonderful. Great first outing with the air fryer. Now I have some confidence that I can make something more expensive and not ruin it. Thanks for all the reviews that gave me the angst to try it myself. Kathy Acord

I love them in the air fryer too, but I cook the dogs first for 6 min. Then I put them in the buns and cook everything for another 3-4 minutes.
I've tried hot dogs every which way you can in an effort to get them to taste like vendor dogs. Steaming, baking, boiling, frying, half-boiling and half-frying, shaken, stirred, and ala mode. Nothing has come close until now. Completely juicy and cooked through. I put some cheese on the bun before I fried it and it came out perfectly melted, I would add a minute or two next time to make the dogs and bread a bit crispier as a good dog should be, but this is my new go-to for sure. I basically inhaled them.
A fantastic way to make hot dogs! Mine were frozen so I cooked them for 4 minutes and they looked and tasted like they had been cooked on the grill.
Would not make any changes. This was the first recipe I tried. It tasted like grilled hot dogs. A keeper, will make again.
Will never make hot dogs any other way now they tasted like I cooked them on a grill and the buns perfect
Were great the first time. My husband likes his hotdogs very crispy. At 4 minutes they were perfect.
This was the first thing we cooked in the new air fryer. Hotdogs and buns were perfect and clean up is incredibly easy.
I like it but… need one less minute for buns, and used Ballpark all beef Dogs . That would constitute a five star review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Buns were perfect. Hot dogs were delicious. Faster than boiling too!
I just made my second meal with my small air fryer. I had 2 long all-beef wieners that were frozen. I put them in the microwave on defrost for 2 minutes, which thawed them just enough for easier cutting. I cut them in half and placed them in the air fryer at 400 degrees. I set the timer for 5 minutes. Then because I really like them really browned, I turned them and cooked them for another 3 minutes. They were perfect for me and my husband.
these came out great like they had been grilled. I needed to cook mine about 8 minutes
I added about 4 more min to mine Since they were frozen. Was juicy would do again quick and easy!
Awesome !!! I put the buns in the basket and took the basket out after 2 minutes and placed the dogs in the bottom of the fryer for more “fry”. Added a minute for more crispness. 100% delicious. My oldest remarked that he loved the toasted bun.
Very good, will always cook my hotdogs 🌭 😋 Luke this now.
Grateful for this recipe. I was making 5 hotdogs but had to increase the time another 2 minutes. Came out great! Like it better than boiled
I just used mustard and grated parm cheese. For the type of air fryer I have may have to cook for a little bit longer
dog were a little more done then expected but all in all was good
Everything came out amazing, I was super skeptical but it’s was fast, easy, and delicious!
It worked but I do hot dog for 5 minutes then rol with hot dog in it for 3 more minuets. Very crunchy. OK for a change
8.20.20 A horrendous thunder, lightening, rain storm blew through yesterday evening dumping 7” of rain, so cooking out was not an option. Potato salad and baked baked beans were done, and instead of frying hamburgers and making yet another mess to clean up, decided to try this recipe for hot dogs using the air fryer. It works folks, enough said! Seriously, I don’t know that you get that much more flavor grilling hot dogs, and it’s doubtful I’ll even bother again. Being able to toast the buns in the air fryer also is a plus, it makes a difference. Admittedly, this one surprised me, it’s simply good!
Love the crispness of the buns and the dogs were perfectly made. Quick and easy and little to no dishes to make.
Pretty good, Buns were nice and toasty and hot dogs were juicy!
This is absolutely the best way to have a hotdog! I will never make a hotdog any other way ever again.?
I even started my hot dogs frozen, I just doubled the time, turning after the 3 minutes. This time I didn't do the buns because I was using special buns that I didn't want toasted.
Excellent. I used Zwigles Pop Open hots, made in Rochester, NY. I was looking for an alternative to grilling, because the snow is up to my knees right now.
